Paint the Masters: A Workshop Series of Seven Iconic Painters with Rita Richetti
The best way to learn a skill is to learn it from the best. Paint the Masters will be presented in a series of seven monthly classes, each class focusing on one of the world’s most famous artists.
During each class you will:
1) Learn about the life of one of the world’s greatest painters;
2) Take a deep dive into the works of the artist;
3) Focus on a particular aspect of their style or technique that makes their work exceptional; and
4) Paint an 11”x14” acrylic painting mimicking one of that artist’s paintings, and guided by local artist, Rita Richetti.
Cost $50 includes materials
Third Sundays at 1pm -3:30pm
In May we painted in the style of Georgia O'Keefe. Next up: June 21: Vincent Van Gogh
Vincent Gogh may be the most famous artist that ever lived.
His brushwork and use of repeated swirling, rhythmic lines are immediately recognizable to art lovers all over the world.
In this workshop you will choose one of his paintings and apply Vincent’s method of mark-making,
using his vibrant colors to paint your own masterpiece.
