Outreach Jubilee Furniture - Carol Stream (LV: TBD)

Volunteer numbers for this project are based on adults and children ages 11 and older. Younger children are encouraged to attend with their parents but registration is NOT needed for any child 10 and under.

What sort of work will I be doing?

LANDSCAPING: Remove existing plants from Islands and plant 25 Shenandoah red switchgrass perennials, plant 5 perennials in front of Outreach Employment Center, trim shrubs and trees, W**d, and spread 7 CY of hardwood mulch.

MOVING/ASSEMBLY: Remove furniture/items from lunchroom, clean space, build new Outreach supplied shelving for room (click in place shelving) *Note: Volunteers may need to lift heavy objects.

VOLUNTEERS SHOULD BRING (If you are able):

· WATER to drink

· Gardening Gloves

· Wheelbarrows (4 needed)

· Rakes

· Shovels / Pitchforks

· Trowels

· Shears

· Safety goggles

· Carpentry tools for disassembly of old furniture and assembly of new shelving

· OPTIONAL: Hat, Sunscreen, and Bug Spray

El número de voluntarios para este proyecto incluye adultos y niños mayores de 11 años. Los niños menores de 10 años pueden asistir con sus padres, pero NO es necesario registrarlos.

¿Qué tipo de trabajo estaré realizando?

JARDINERÍA: Retirar las plantas existentes de las islas y plantar 25 plantas perennes Shenandoah red switchgrass, plantar 5 perennes frente al Centro de Empleo Outreach, podar arbustos y árboles, quitar maleza y esparcir 7 yardas cúbicas de mantillo de madera dura.

MOVIMIENTO/ARMADO: Retirar muebles y objetos del comedor, limpiar el espacio y construir nuevas estanterías proporcionadas por Outreach para la habitación (estanterías que se encajan).
Nota: Los voluntarios podrían necesitar levantar objetos pesados.
