Outreach for the Horses - Maryland State Fair

** This is not a protest! This is a quiet, leafleting event. **
There will be a lot of foot traffic & people driving by. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness on behalf of the horses and let the public know that while over 400 horses have been killed at Maryland tracks since 2014, millions upon millions of tax payer dollars are propping the racing industry up.
Horseracing is whipping, tongue ties & mouth bits, painful injuries, solitary confinement and slaughter.
Roughly 1,800 horses are killed every year at US tracks while training, racing or found dead in their stall. For over a hundred years, these deaths have gone unnoticed. But now, thanks to Horseracing Wrongs, their deaths are being exposed to media and to the public.
I have lots of posters but you can always make your own if you would like to. I will provide the leaflets to hand out.
*** Demo Area/Parking : We will stand across the street from Giant (with the track right behind us). We can park in the Giant parking lot since technically we are not going into the fair.
