Join the Out in HK team for a day hiking to Rooster Ridge in Lam Tsuen Country Park in Yuen Long on Saturday 24 January.Popularly known as Rooster Ridge or Mountain of Chicken—Kai Kung Leng (雞公嶺) in Cantonese—this hike offers expansive and lesser-known views of the New Territories and Shenzhen. On a clear day, you can even see the vast scale of Shenzhen from Lo Wu all the way to Nanshan! Come hiking to this underrated and less travelled peak.

Facilities: None on the hike, so use the toilet and stock up on food and water at Yuen Long MTR Station

TIME:
Meet at Yuen Long MTR Station Exit G1 at the top of the escalator that goes down to the bus terminus at 10:00 for a 10:15 start. We will be catching green minibus 603 to the start of the trail.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Hiking/trail run shoes
Jacket (depending on the weather forecast)
