About this Event
We’re beyond excited to invite you to our very first event together at Soma Cider! Join us inside the cozy tasting room for an morning of Yin Yoga and Sound Healing that will leave you feeling balanced and refreshed.
We’ll begin with a gentle Yin Yoga practice, focusing on slow, restorative poses that allow you to release deep tension and connect with your body. During the practice, you’ll be immersed in the soothing vibrations of a live sound bath, helping you relax into each pose and achieve deeper healing. Sound bath sessions are reported to ease chronic pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote a sense of calm and balance. Some attendees feel energized and grounded, while others find themselves ready for a blissful afternoon nap!
Yin Yoga and sound baths are a perfect match, as they both focus on the internal rather than the external. With little movement required, the sound bath supports the practice, helping you connect more deeply with the present moment. Different instruments—such as quartz crystal bowls, a gong, and chimes—will be played during specific poses to help you align more deeply with the sound and your body.
Sound healing is a transformative experience for the mind, body, and soul. It has the power to shift your brainwaves from beta (alertness) to alpha (relaxation), theta (meditative state), and even delta waves (sleep), offering profound healing for the nervous system.
Michael, a conscious sound healer, will be facilitating the evening with 9 crystal singing bowls and harmonic toning using his voice. Michael’s intuitive approach to sound healing has developed over years of practice. With a background in classical piano, he channels melodies and sound to create the most healing and integrative experience possible.
After the practice, you’ll have the opportunity to sample a selection of local, delicious ciders in the tasting room while unwinding in the peaceful atmosphere. Soma Cider is a family-owned farm-based cidery in British Columbia’s beautiful central Okanagan Valley. They’re passionate about crafting pure, simple, and honest ciders, made from the finest ingredients with a commitment to quality. Soma believes cider brings people together, and they love sharing their hard work with friends. Their farm, which was reclaimed and planted in 2016, produces some of the best-tasting ciders around, and they’re thrilled to share them with you. Don’t forget to visit the friendly alpacas who always bring a smile!
