Ornamentally Speaking: A Calligraphy + Ornament Experience
Let’s make some ornaments—and learn a little calligraphy while we’re at it!
We’ll kick things off with a beginner-friendly introduction to calligraphy, where you’ll learn the basic strokes, letters, and connections that make hand lettering look so good. No experience necessary, and no need to show up with beautiful handwriting. That’s what the practice part is for!
Once you’ve got the basics down, we’ll move on to the fun part: putting your new skills to work on ornaments. You can use templates and traceable guides to help you get your lettering where you want it, or skip the guides and freehand it if you’re feeling brave. There’s no wrong way to do it.
Whether you’re making something for your own tree, creating a few gifts, or just want an excuse to spend a Sunday afternoon doing something creative, this is a relaxed, hands-on experience designed to be fun, not intimidating.
