Bishop Vincent Long OFM Conv, Bishop of Parramatta invites you to the Ordination of Menard Morales Gaspi on Thursday 21 November at 7.30pm at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Parramatta.
Menard was born and raised in Western Sydney. He commenced his journey in the Diocese's Holy Spirit Seminary in 2021, serving for a year at Sacred Heart Parish, Luddenham-Warragamba and most recently served as Deacon in St John XXIII Parish, Glenwood-Stanhope Gardens since February 2024. Menard devoted 14 years to working as a missionary before he decided to take the next step in dedicating his life to serving God as a priest.
Most recently, in 2023 he spent two months at Santa Teresa – a small Aboriginal community about 90 kilometres south-east of Alice Springs. He also attended World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal where he accompanied 170 young pilgrims from the Diocese.

Following his Ordination, Menards’s first Mass as a newly ordained priest will be celebrated on Friday 22 November at Mary Immaculate Parish, Bossley Park at 7pm.
