2026 SPIRIT OF THE LANDSCAPE — EXHIBITION OPENING
Join us for the opening of the Spirit of the Landscape Exhibition, Saturday 5 September, 2:30–4:00pm at the Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery, inside Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. Free admission, everyone welcome.
This event kicks off Plein Air Down Under's 2026 season, presented as part of the Mandurah Arts Festival. It follows the Worldwide Paint Out in Mandjar Square (10am–2pm the same day) — come for one, stay for both.
We're proud to showcase 18 invited artists: our 2026 Feature and Guest Artists, alongside the 2025 PADU Award Winners.

Spirit of the Landscape celebrates the vast landscapes of rural, regional and remote Australia, with an international twist. Plein air artists paint with a deep respect for land, environment and community — capturing a moment in real time through natural light, colour and movement, and telling the stories that rise out of place.
While you are there, cast your vote for the People's Choice Award, presented by Community Bank Halls Head.
BONUS: Running alongside, the Twelve Perspectives Exhibition features 36 landscape paintings by 12 Mandurah Plein Air Artists, opening the same day and running through to 23 September.
