Old School Sports Day (ages 6+)

Join us for a special series of old school events which look back to the games we used to play in days gone by!
About this Event

Part of Crystal Palace Park Trust's free Summer of Play.

Join us for a special series of events as part of our old school sports day! Players will be divided into two teams and each activity will be scored using a points system.

Activities included in our old school sports day: Egg and spoon race, sack race, tug of war, wheelbarrow race, hopper racing, 3 legged race and many more.

There are five 60 minute sessions for this event :

10:00 - 11:00 (for ages 6-9)

11:00 - 12:00 (for ages 6-9)

12:00 - 13:00 (for ages 9-12)

13:00 - 14:00 (all ages 6+)

All sessions are designed to be appropriate for children age 6+*.

*Under 14’s must be accompanied / observed throughout the session by a responsible adult.

Activities are designed for young participants but in some cases parents may be able to join in the fun! Please book tickets for children only.

We aim to be as inclusive as possible and ask that you let us know if you have any particular requirements at point of booking.

Check in opens 15 mins prior to each session on the Cricket Pitch behind the old Information Centre. On arrival you will be met by a member of staff who will check you in. There will be a mandatory safety briefing where you will be introduced to the activity.

This is a FREE ADMISSION event. Tickets are limited to four (4) per person, please ensure that tickets are cancelled if you are unable to attend so that another young person can use the opportunity.

Accessibility:

• step-free but on grass so the ground is uneven
• Toilets including an accessible toilet are nearby. There is a Changing Places toilet at Penge Gate.

Key information:

• We ask that children are accompanied by an adult at all times
• The whole event takes place outdoors so please wear clothing appropriate for the weather and bring a bottle of water.
• We ask that dogs are kept on leads please

Photography:

• This event will be photographed. We will use photographs to provide evidence to our funders and for marketing purposes, to help demonstrate our events. Please let us know if you want to opt out. We will offer you a sticker on the day so we can make sure you’re not in photos.
