Give new life to vintage china in this up-cycling class!

First choose a pre-loved plate or teacup from Dotty’s very special vintage china collection. Each piece has been rooted out from the best garage sales, antique stalls and junk shops to select the ideal pieces to up-cycle.

The idea of this workshop is to give your plate, cup or bowl a new lease of life and turn it into a 'work of art' - customising the once loved china and giving it a very modern make-over .

Select from Dotty's special 'decal' designs....flowers, leaves, birds, butterflies, lips, insects and letters creating your own personal composition. Tattooing your china in effect! With a bit of magic and instruction from Claire, you'll be shown how to attach your special designs and learn how to make these permanent when you get home.

These plates make great presents and they also make a shelf very happy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will my upcycled china be ready at the end of the class?

Yes, your plate or cup will be ready for you to take home at the end of the event.

How many items will I upcycle?

There’s normally time for you to upcycle and decorate 2 x items. There will be a selection of plates, cups, bowls and jugs (sometimes even teapots!) to choose to work on.

Is everything included in the ticket price?

Yes - all the kit will be provided.

Will the decals/decorations be permanent?

Yes. Once you have taken the item home, you will be able to slowly bake them in a normal domestic oven to make the decorations permanent. Instruction methods will be provided at the class.

Is the venue close to the tube?

Yes, the NEW Saturday venue is located just a few minutes away from Maida Vale Tube Station on the Bakerloo Line.

Help! I can't find the venue?

Please look out for 'Beattie Construction Ltd' - the classes are held in their showroom. The venue is just along from Lauderdale Mansions South, close to the corner of Lauderdale Rd and Castellain Rd.

What time do doors open?

The doors will open for the class venue approx. 10 mins before the class starts. There are a number of coffee shops and eateries close by to go to before and after the event.
