Off the Couch: A Behavioral Health Networking Hike

Lace up and log off. This one's for anyone in the behavioral health space who could use some fresh air and good company.

Join AMFM Healthcare and El Dorado Springs Behavioral Health Hospital for a group networking hike on the Canyon Loop Trail at Catalina State Park in Oro Valley, just north of Tucson. The trail is a 2.3-mile loop through the Sonoran Desert foothills with views of the Santa Catalina Mountains, saguaros everywhere, and seasonal creek crossings. It's well-marked, easy to follow, and mostly flat with a short hill and a set of stairs midway through (with an alternate route if stairs aren't your thing).

Plan for about 90 minutes on the trail at a group pace. This is a real hike but nobody gets left behind.

Whether you're a clinician, administrator, business development rep, program director, admissions coordinator, or anyone else working in the behavioral health world, come walk with us. This is a chance to step away from the desk, get some miles in, and build real connections with other professionals in the field.

Parking & Directions:

Catalina State Park is located at 11570 N. Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85737 (technically in Oro Valley, about 30 minutes north of downtown Tucson).

From Tucson, take Oracle Road (AZ-77) north past Oro Valley. The park entrance will be on the right. Pay the entrance fee at the gate, then follow the road all the way to the main trailhead parking lot at the end. Restrooms and a small gift shop are available at the trailhead. Look for us near the mosaic tile mural at the trailhead entrance.

Park entrance fee is $10 per vehicle (1 person) or $20 per vehicle (2-4 adults). Carpooling is encouraged.
