What Appraisers & Home Inspectors Wish Agents Knew
Join us October 7 from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at the Walden Club for a candid conversation about what happens behind the report.
Laura Covington of Covington Consulting and Appraising and Ken Fast of Pillar to Post will take us beyond the numbers, checklists, and common misconceptions surrounding appraisals and home inspections. We’ll talk about how value is actually determined, what improvements really make a difference, how appraisers look at things like square footage, room count, and basements, and how agents can communicate effectively throughout the process.
We’ll also explore what a home inspection is—and isn’t—what sellers can do to prepare, whether a home can actually “fail” an inspection, and where the roles of the appraiser and home inspector intersect.
Moderated by Women’s Council President Julie Prescott, this panel is an opportunity to hear directly from the professionals behind two of the most important reports in a real estate transaction—and ask the questions you’ve always wanted answered.
