OC Ballet Youth Academy Open House Week, June 3 - 8, 2024!

OC Ballet Youth Academy invites new students wishing to try free dance classes for ages 2-14. We offer ballet, contemporary and hip hop classes in a fun and nurturing environment!

PRE-SCHOOL BALLET:

• THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2024: 4:00-4:30pm Parent & Me Ballet (ages 2-4)
• THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2024: 4:30-5:00pm Creative Ballet (ages 2-4)
• THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2024: 5:00-5:45pm Pre-Primary Ballet (ages 4.5-6)
• SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 2024: 9:30-10:00am Creative Ballet (ages 2-4)
• THURSDAY, JUNE 8, 2024: 10:00-10:45am Pre-Primary Ballet (ages 4.5-6)

BALLET FOR BEGINNING YOUTH & TEENS:

• MONDAY, JUNE 3, 2024: 4:30-5:30pm Primary Ballet (Ages 7&up)

• THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2024: 4:30-5:30pm Ballet 1 (Ages 9&up)
• THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2024: 5:30-6:30pm New to Ballet (Ages 11&up)
• SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 2024: 10:45-11:45am New to Ballet (Ages 7-13)

HIP HOP FOR BEGINNING YOUTH & TEENS:

• TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 2024: 5:30-6:30pm Beginning Hip Hop (Ages 7&up)
• TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 2024: 6:30-7:30pm Beginning Hip Hop (Ages 11&up)

A high energy class that uses the latest sounds in rap, R&B and pop music together with original movements and grooves or steps that have their base in jazz/funk. Techniques are taught through learning choreography that is appropriate for each level of class.

CONTEMPORARY FOR BEGINNING & INTERMEDIATE YOUTH & TEENS:

• WEDS., JUNE 5, 2024: 5:30-6:30pm Advanced Beginning Contemporary (Ages 7&up)
• WEDS., JUNE 5, 2024: 6:30-7:30pm Beginning Contemporary (Ages 7&up)

Contemporary is a hybrid of ballet, jazz, lyrical and modern dance styles. It is a ballet-based technique that allows a greater range of movement. This class focuses on centering, strengthening the body, increasing flexibility, improving balance, proper placement, body alignment, fluidity, and emotion.
