November 14 – CERT Communications Drill and Hike

November 14 – CERT Communications Drill and Hike. On Saturday, November 14th, at 9 am we will hike at Griffith Park. The Command Post will be on the service road as you enter the Carousel Parking Lot (4730 Crystal Springs Dr). At the Command Post we communicate with the search team, promote CERT, ACS and complete an ICS 214 Unit Log. Our hike will take us from the Command Post past the Old Zoo, up the Bill Eckert Trail up to Vista Del Valle and back down the switchbacks to the CP. This 6.5-mile hike should last about three hours. Monitor ACS 1, while driving to the park and we'll use FRS 5 for the hike. To promote our program and present a positive image please wear your favorite CERT t-shirt.
