Northwest Specialty Hospital Community Tours

We invite you to join Northern Nevada Health System as we celebrate the pre-opening of Northwest Specialty Hospital, An Extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center.

Northwest Specialty Hospital will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services, an expansion and relocation of existing services at Northern Nevada Medical Center.

Tour Details:

• Thursday, January 23, 2025
• Time: Tours every 30 minutes from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Location: 6225 Sharlands Avenue, Reno, 89523

We invite you to join us on Friday, November 8 for a tour and to learn more about the soon-to-open facility. Tours are offered every 30 minutes between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

If you are unable to attend during the time you reserved, we encourage you to come anytime between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

About Northwest Specialty Hospital:

Acute rehabilitation offers a continuum of care from designed to rebuild a patient’s strength, endurance and achieve a high level of recovery following a debilitating injury, illness, or medical condition. The expanded department will include a spacious therapy gym, transitional care apartment, access to a multispecialty team, and programs for family members to engage in the patient’s care.

Adult Behavioral Health is an expanded unit designed in a secure, comfortable space for patients requiring inpatient care for mental health disorders. The unit is led by a physician medical director and will include hospital medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers and others specializing in behavioral health.
