North East Anti-Racism Coalition

Welcome to the North East Anti-Racism Coalition. We are a group of organisations and individuals who have responded to recent events in the North East by coming together to begin the conversation about helping to make sure that our region is welcoming, inclusive and safe. We know this needs to be a collective effort, and we want to invite you to join us.

We have developed a few themes to help us to take the first steps to becoming a region that is truly anti-racist. These themes are Meaningful engagement and commitment; Learning and education; Community engagement with all voices heard; Diversity and representation; Leadership and accountability and Communications.

At our December meeting, we will engage in a learning session to help us to develop a shared high-level awareness of race and anti-racism. This will enable us to further develop our themes based on shared understanding.

This event is open to all.
