This workshop is aimed at helping us all to maximise inclusion in our clinical practice, and to improve the health and treatment of autistic individuals and those with ADHD. We will reflect on what autism and ADHD mean for people, common strengths and challenges, common barriers in healthcare, and Reasonable Adjustments we can consider. We will work towards enhancing our clinical practice in order to achieve optimal patient experience, and improve the health and wellbeing of neurodivergent patients.
On completion of the course participants will:
- Have a better understanding of Autism and ADHD
- Know more about strengths-based and person-centred practice for neurodivergent patients
- Be thinking creatively about addressing barriers in healthcare for neurodivergent patients
- Be upskilled in making Reasonable Adjustments for people so that patient care is as effective as possible
