About this Event
The North British Pain Association is a charitable organisation of professionals with an interest in scientific pain management, whose aim is to promote education and research to encourage a greater awareness of the importance of pain management.
The Biannual Scientific Meetings are aimed at people working with people who live with chronic pain, as well as people with lived experiences of pain, living and working within the North of England and Scotland. The meetings provide an opportunity to hear from a range of speakers on topics relevant to pain management.
The focus of this meeting is Embracing Diversity in Pain Management. We hope to explore the range of diversity issues that those living with pain can experience and consider how to best support these and adapt clinical practice.
Topics that will be discussed and explored on the day include Health Inequalities, Neurodiversity and Pain, and Attachment Theory in Pain Management.
In addition, we will hear from a number of poster presenters on a variety of topics relating to the event.
