Nonprofits & News: Telling Stories That Matter
About this Event
Discover how nonprofits can craft powerful news stories that truly connect at Nonprofits & News: Telling Stories That Matter on July 14, presented by the Concord Monitor in partnership with Granite United Way. This evening of community connection is open to representatives from local nonprofits.
This training is designed to equip nonprofits – especially small and grassroots organizations – with practical tools to effectively engage with local media, increase visibility, and better share their impact with the community. Participants will gain direct insight from local media professionals while building skills they can immediately apply:
- Learn more about how the Monitor engages with nonprofits through its coverage.
- Gain strategies for media pitches and outreach.
- Participate in a dialogue about some of the challenges – and successes – nonprofits are experiencing right now.
If you’ve been looking to build a deeper understanding of what happens once you send a story idea or press release to a news outlet, now is your chance. You’ll discover more about what types of content the Monitor is looking for and what options exist for publication.
Target Audience:
- Small and grassroots nonprofits with a focus in Merrimack County, places with limited staff and marketing capacity
