Explore the art of home gardening and its connection to food preservation in this engaging session with NIU STEAM Community Engagement Coordinator Jessica Cima. Discover sustainable food systems, master canning techniques with a focus on the science of safe food preservation, and learn how growing and preserving your own food can reduce your carbon footprint.

This free presentation is for teens, but open to all ages. Free pizza is available to those who attend. No registration is required.
