About this Event
This sacred circle is a time for you to intentionally center your body, heart and soul as you embark on this new year. It is a time for opening, releasing and downloading energies in your system that are ready to move.
We will begin with an opportunity for connection in circle. Then we will center our bodies and spirits with a short movement practice. Movement will help us release stuck energies and patterns and open our hearts and energy channels. With our open hearts and bodies taking the lead, we will then move into breathwork. And finally will end with integration through discussion in the circle.
This is an opportunity for you to take space for yourself to calm your thoughts and body, reset your Nervous System and tune into your body and soul. Breathwork is meant to help you shut off your thinking mind and feel more. People often have spiritual and expansive experiences and downloads as you are much more able to tap into your body and soul’s wisdom during breathwork. It is as close as you can get to a psychedelic “good trip” as one can get without drugs and often provides you with that same sort of expansive experience.
This breath originates from the yogic pranayama breath which you will laying flat on the floor for. While you can choose to make it intense, you may also choose to have a mellow journey. You will be completely in control of your body and breath.
About your host for this circle: Kim Massale
Kim Massale, LPC, MA is a licensed psychotherapist since 2009. She has been in the field of psychotherapy for over 15 years and has supported many 100s of individuals in their healing journeys, both 1:1 and in groups. She has worked in a multitude of settings including supporting expats working INGOs and activists and politicians on the Hill. As a therapist, Kim originally trained in Art Therapy which has its roots in Jungian theory (archetypes and collective consciousness) and went on to gain advanced training in shame resiliency, EMDR and trauma healing work, then somatic psychotherapy (Sensorimotor trained through level 2 and teachers aid). She has been supporting clients in healing and expanding spiritually throughout her career.
Kim has worked primarily as a women's embodiment coach for the last 7 years. Focus areas of her work have been ethical and aligned business, confidence, breaking free from toxic cultural norms and dating/relationships. She has run high intensity group coaching with women worldwide as well as 1:1 work over this time. Kim also owns and runs a 22+ employee psychotherapy group practice. This group practice serves mainly folks on Medicaid in the Denver area.
Kim has an extensive dance and arts background and was more recently trained in breathwork facilitation. She has participated in her own therapy and/or coaching weekly since age 19 as she believes as a healer you must continue to walk your talk in order to best show up for your clients.
I truly find breathwork to be a remarkable healing and expansive modality. After 15+ years as a healer, I have tried many ways of healing and breath has absolutely been the most powerful avenue for me! Learn more about me by reading my bio here if you like!
