Join us at Matua’s Fergusson Park for a special New Year’s Eve celebration designed for those with sensory sensitivities or accessibility needs. This event will feature reduced noise levels and smaller crowds.It runs for an hour before the main celebration begins. (Feel welcome to stay around for the main celebration if you wish). It’s the perfect way to welcome in the new year together, so we invite you to comedown and bring your friends and whānau.
What to expect:
Smaller crowds
Lower-volume acoustic music
Quiet room onsite
Time:
Starts at 5pm and wraps up at 6pm, just before the main festivities begin.
Things to bring:
A picnic blanket and/or something to sit on
Feel free to bring your own kai or choose from a variety of food truck options
With the sun still strong in the afternoon, remember to slip, slop, slap, and wrap
For those with sensory sensitivities, bring headphones to limit sound
Cash or card to purchase drinks and snacks
Parking
Accessible parking is available for mobility cardholders in the main car parking area adjacent to the Ōtūmoetai Football Clubrooms
Pack smart, waste less - bring your own reusable water bottles, cups, and containers to help reduce waste.

Event carparking is available onsite but is limited. Parking is available for mobility cardholders in the main car parking area adjacent to the Otūmoetai Football clubrooms.
Important:
These family-friendly events are alcohol, vape and smoke-free, with temporary and permanent liquor bans in place at and around the site.
