About this Event

This session will be facilitated by GM Moving, providing an introduction to neurodiversity in sport and physical activity, alongside practical insights to help clubs, coaches and volunteers create more inclusive environments. Topics covered in this session will include:

  • What neurodiversity is and why it matters in sport
  • How common neurodivergent conditions are
  • An overview of different neurodivergent conditions
  • ADHD, Autism (ASD) and Dyspraxia in more detail
  • Challenges neurodivergent people may experience in sport and physical activity settings
  • Real-life scenarios and practical approaches for clubs and coaches
  • Key takeaways to help create more inclusive sporting environments
