A special series of evening events offering rare access to works from the Whitworth’s internationally significant textiles collection, presented alongside Hyundai Translocal Series: Entangled and Woven. Each session combines expert insight with close-up study of textiles not usually on display.
Artist Young In Hong presents an in-depth look at her commission Sacred Empires from Hyundai Translocal Series: Entangled and Woven. Hosted in the Whitworth’s Study Centre, the talk is accompanied by related works from the Whitworth’s collection, offering insight into collaboration, labour and storytelling in textile practice.
