Tucked deep in a canyon in spectacular Wasdale, this is a fantastic Ghyll Scramble with a wild and remote feel. Steep canyon sides add a magical atmosphere to this Ghyll. It has plunge pools, jumps, a cave, waterfalls to scramble up and a roped climb by the side of a waterfall to ascend out of the Ghyll.
Take in the magnificent backdrop on your walk back down. You'll have elevated views over Wastwater and the Western Lakes, including Scafell Pike and Great Gable.
5+ Young family session now also available. Taking in the lower parts of the river and a small section of the canyon, this ghyll scramble is full of fun pools to jump and scramble in and a secret hidden cave which you can swim into. This is the perfect ghyll scramble for families with younger children.
