Brackenclose was the first hut owned by the Fell & Rock Climbing Club and the only one which is architect designed and purpose built. We’ve booked it Thurs- Sub (poss extra nights).
The high crags and tops of the Scafells, Great Gable and Pillar are all within striking distance for both climbing and walking. When these are out of condition, Buckbarrow and Wallabarrow in Dunnerdale provide good sport for climbers and walkers can explore the lower tops and side valleys. The world famous Wasdale Head Inn is a mile away.
Early booking is essential for this rare opportunity. Limited spaces but we may be to increase numbers, so a reserve list will operate.
