About this Event
NDIS Report Writing for Allied Health
This practical, skills-based session is designed to build confidence and clarity in your NDIS report writing. Together, we’ll unpack the purpose of reports within the broader NDIS context and explore how to write in a way that is both clinically meaningful and effective in supporting funding outcomes.
We’ll dive into how to balance a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach while still addressing the requirements of a system that often relies on deficit-based language. You’ll be guided through clear and adaptable report structures, with examples and formatting strategies that help your recommendations land with impact.
The session will also cover common challenges clinicians face—like translating clinical reasoning into accessible language, avoiding overly vague or overly technical reports, and ensuring your recommendations are specific, justified, and aligned with functional outcomes. There will be opportunities to reflect on your own writing, refine your approach, and walk away with tools you can immediately apply in practice.
This training will be facilitated by Anica (Director and Speech Pathologist, Anecdote Clinical Support) and Gavin Symes (Director and Occupational Therapist, Wizard OT).
