Join NAWIC Tees Valley at Middlesbrough College for our International Women’s Day celebration, where we will explore this year’s theme, “Balancing the Scales.”
Through an engaging panel discussion, we’ll examine what this theme means in practice and what more needs to be done to truly achieve balance within the construction industry. Our panel features an inspiring group of women and male allies from across the sector .
Angela Carney – Founder / Managing Director at Carney Consultancy, Fellow and Chartered Member IOSH, President Northern Counties Builders Federation, Board Director Constructing Excellence North East and Vice Chair of the People Theme Group, Vice Chair Working Well Together and Lighthouse Charity North East Committee Member.
Catriona Lingwood – Chief Executive at Constructing Excellence North East, NAWIC North East & Tees Valley Committee Member, Construction Sector Lead ERB North East LSIP, Lighthouse Charity North East Committee Member
Victoria Beattie – Head of Estates at Port of Tyne, Chartered Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience working in construction, housing and infrastructure, both in public and private sectors.
Charlotte Alderman - Major Project Manager at Tees Valley Combined Authority and one of the founding members of NAWIC Tees Valley. Charlotte was Highly Commended G4C Future Leader at Constructing Excellence National Award and Winner of the G4C Future Leader Award at G4C North East Awards 2023.
Tom Lamb – Group Strategy Director RE:GEN Group, Chartered CIH and CIOB. Part of the CENE People Group, Building Equality North East and CIOB promoting the values of the organisations across the industry.
Rachel Massey - Associate Director at K2 Construction and Vice Chair NAWIC Tees Valley, A Fellow and Chartered professional of the APM, who brings deep experience delivering large, complex projects, while balancing leadership with life as a mum of two young children.
