Nature Nights - Plastic Free July
Join us as we explore practical, creative and community-led ways we can all take action together and avoid greenwashing.
Here’s what’s happening:
4:00 – 5:00 pm | Create Bin Stickers
Start the evening with a creative session led by Kris and James from Bugs n Slugs. Design your own stickers to raise awareness and make your bins stand out. All materials provided.
5:00 – 6:00 pm | Community Eco Discussion
Join a relaxed community conversation exploring the idea that there is no “away” when it comes to waste, and what it really means when we say “throw it away”. Facilitated by members of the local PECWRAG group, this session will encourage honest discussion about consumption, waste and responsibility.
6:00 – 7:30 pm | Visible Mending Workshop
Discover visible mending as a creative way to extend the life of your clothing, bags and fabric items. Led by Donna Gordge from Stitch Paint Burn Studio, you’ll learn different stitching techniques to repair or decorate textiles. You can create a patch to take home or bring along items you’d like to mend or personalise. No sewing experience needed.
🌼 Free natural cleaning products to take home will be available at the end of the evening.
