For half a century, the Effie Yeaw Nature Center has been the Sacramento community's gateway to the natural world. As the interpretive center of the Lower American River, we've helped generations discover the wonder waiting just beyond their doorstep. Now it's time to celebrate. Help us mark this important milestone, while raising funds for fifty more years!
Join us for The Golden Jubilee, a joyful evening honoring 50 years of nature, education, and stewardship along the American River.
When: Sunday, October 4th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM
Since 1976, this beloved center has welcomed families, children, elders, and neighbors from every corner of our community. We've guided school groups along winding trails, introduced curious minds to our animal ambassadors, and shared the beauty of our 100-acre Nature Study Area and the magic of the biodiversity of the American River.
Come celebrate with us as we wine and dine in the oak woodland, surrounded by the natural beauty that has inspired our community for generations.
