Satori Ryu Training Weekend: Across the 5 Ranges
About this Event
What we'll cover
Striking through the kicking and punching ranges, drawing on karate, boxing, and kickboxing. Clinch work and takedowns. Ground fighting with jiu-jitsu and wrestling. Filipino weapons work, plus Krav Maga defenses against modern weapons. Then the connective tissue: closing distance, changing levels, and what to do when the fight moves somewhere you didn't plan for.
Schedule
Saturday, November 7 Optional open mat at 7:00am. Doors and welcome at 10:00am, training runs until 6:00pm with a break for lunch. Group dinner that evening, on us.
Sunday, November 8 Optional open mat in the morning. Training from 9:00am to around noon, followed by presentation of certificates and a group photo.
Times are approximate and subject to adjustment.
Staying over
For anyone who'd rather not book a hotel, the dojo is open for an overnight stay on Saturday. It's a floor, not a hotel, so bring a sleeping bag or bedroll and whatever else you need to be comfortable. Restrooms and changing space are available on site. Let us know when you register so we can plan for it.
Who this is for
School owners, instructors, and senior students with real mat experience. Bring your instructors or key staff and train together.
