Our community will come together again to honor the lives of all boarding school survivors and our relatives who never made it back home. These relatives would have been our elders today. They stole future knowledge keepers, first language speakers, medicine people, grandmas & grandpas. We will begin the walk at the Colorado School for the Deaf & Blind where Ute students were housed from 1893-1894. There is residential area parking. After we gather at the school we will walk approximately 1 mile to the Hillside Community Center for a potluck. We will have a van to transport any Elders or those with mobility issues back to their cars after the potluck. We have use of the facility until 8:30pm Saturday.
Please bring a dish to share with serving utensils and don't forget your families feast dishes!
Please check back here for any changes to the schedule!
