About The Artist
I graduated with a degree in Fine Art from Bretton Hall College in 1996 but followed a very different career in Public Finance. I have always painted, but over the last few years have found it increasingly important for me to express my creative side, and I spend every spare moment practising my art.
I take my inspiration from everything I see around me. Growing up and living in Knowsley I’m blessed to live close to so many beautiful natural spaces, and working in Liverpool I paint the buildings and streets that I love.
I mainly work in acrylic and take advantage of the striking colours that can be created by the over-layering of paint. My style varies depending on what kind of day it’s been. I can get lost in concentration and produce very detailed work made up of thousands of individual dots and dashes of contrasting colour – or I can use a much more expressive style, working quickly and trying to capture shape and texture – quite often a finished piece can be a mixture of both processes
About Liverpool Art Fair
Liverpool Art Fair is back at the Royal Liver Building this summer, showcasing a record 245 local artists across six weeks of free entry, creative workshops, and the chance to own an original piece of art for as little as £25.
Now in its 12th year, the fair runs from 12th June to 26th July 2026, open seven days a week, 12–5pm, with free entry throughout. Since launching at Camp and Furnace in 2012, Liverpool Art Fair has welcomed almost 70,000 art lovers and showcased the work of over 2,700 artists, facts that reflect the enduring appetite for affordable, accessible art in the region.
This year’s fair brings together the largest group of exhibiting artists in the event’s history, selected from an open call open to artists living within a 35-mile radius of Liverpool. With works starting at just £25 and a substantial section dedicated to pieces under £250, the fair continues to make original art genuinely accessible to everyone, from first-time buyers to seasoned collectors.
