Join Mary Evelyn Tucker for a relaxing and inspiring afternoon of watercolor! Paint a storybook-inspired scene featuring a peaceful garden path winding away from a cozy home with a charming round door, nestled in the hills. This workshop focuses on loose, expressive techniques that capture light, color, and atmosphere without overworking the details.
In this step-by-step class, participants will learn how to build soft background washes, layer fresh greens, and add pops of floral color to create depth and movement. Mary Evelyn will encourage exploration of simple techniques that suggest distant hills and create a gentle sense of perspective along the path.
This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike. The focus will be on keeping the painting light and painterly while building confidence in layering and color blending. Mary Evelyn Tucker has been a full-time artist since 2015, specializing in watercolor pet portraits, children's book illustration, and murals. She believes in the healing power of art, inspired by her journey of painting her beloved dog, Ava. Through Skillshare and local workshops, she enjoys sharing her techniques and helping others discover their unique artistic voice.
