Come experience Lakshmi’s energies of prosperity, beauty, and abundance while connecting with the vibratory power of your own voice! In Myth & Mantra, led by Erin Gahan Clark, we will explore Lakshmi’s origin myth and practice a fully embodied mantra meditation technique called ajapa japa. The Sanskrit word japa means “repeating or muttering a prayer or mantra”. The letter A in front of the word japa means “without.” Ajapa japa is the practice of japa without the mental effort normally needed to repeat a mantra.
Through her ancient myth and mantra meditation we will learn about and connect with Lakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of beauty, health, wealth, abundance, prosperity and goodness. This is a wonderful time of year to experience her energy. Her presence is all around us! The flowers and trees are blossoming and the world is brimming with beauty and abundance!
No experience necessary. Printed versions of the mantra will be provided and pronunciation will be reviewed. All are welcome.
