Join us for an immersive, full-day introduction to the exciting and ancient art of Mounted Archery with professional coach and trainer Steph Laversin of Fraser Valley Mounted Combat (Langley, BC). This clinic is suitable for riders and archers of all experience levels - whether you’re brand new or looking to deepen your skills.
The day will begin on the ground, where participants will learn foundational archery skills, safety, equipment handling, and the principles of shooting from horseback. In the afternoon, participants will move into the saddle, practicing mounted techniques in a supportive, well-structured environment.
Steph brings over 30 years of equestrian experience and more than a decade of Mounted Archery training. She began the sport in 2012 with Robert Borsos (WFEA International Judge) and was instrumental in establishing insurance for the sport in Canada in 2018. She trains regularly with world-class instructors including Katie Stearns (WFEA Judge, Arlington WA) and Merse Konkoly (Master Kassai Instructor, Hungary), and follows the Kassai Original System - the martial art that sparked the modern revival of Horse Archery.
Steph is a member of Borsos Torzs (Mt Currie), Broken Arrow Mounted Archers (Arlington, WA), and the prestigious Kassai Academy at Flying Dutchess Ranch. She offers weekly training year-round through Fraser Valley Mounted Combat and travels throughout BC teaching clinics.
Investment:
Ground-only clinic: $125 + GST
Full day (ground + mounted): $250 + GST
Horse lease (limited availability): $50
All equipment supplied
Space is limited - registration required to secure your spot.
Come experience the power, precision, and partnership between horse and archer!
