About this Event
Designed to meet the needs of medical and behavioral health practitioners, this introductory session focuses on therapists' understanding of client change motivations and the application of the transtheoretical model to client case conceptualization. It covers the spirit of Motivational Interviewing and its positive impact on client treatment outcomes. The session also addresses interventions used in Motivational Interviewing to build therapeutic rapport, resolve ambivalence about change, recognize various types of change talk, and provide supportive interventions to assist clients in moving toward positive change and experience improved treatment outcomes.
This program has been approved for 3.0 CEs through OCDPB and CSWMFT Boards. Participants must complete the pre-registration to receive free CEs.
