About this Event

Gather at for a Monthly Wine Masterclass at INTERMISSION, the hotel’s intimate wine bar and lobby lounge in Melbourne CBD.

This guided wine tasting experience is a rotating showcase of celebrated Australian winemakers and professionals, bringing the cellar-door experience to the city.

Informal by design, it is an easy pre-dinner or pre-theatre event. This wine tasting is also a great way to meet new people. The format is relaxed, the group is small, and conversation flows easily over good wine and shared discovery.

Each masterclass features four premium wines, with the winemaker guiding guests through the line-up and sharing more about the winery, the region, and the wines in the glass.

This month's edition features a local legend in the wine world, Mr Jarrod Johnson, from Punt Road Winery in the Yarra Valley.

The winery sits across a spectacular 58-hectare vineyard in Coldstream, nestled within the cool-climate region of the Yarra Valley. Punt Road showcases the incredible quality of the historic vineyard in Coldstream and convey in the wines a sense of the time and place from which they came. Their style is classic, timeless, and focused on capturing the fruit expression that is a hallmark of the best Yarra Valley wines.

Celebrating International Cabernet Day, Jarrod will showcase his two best cabernet including the renowned Block 3 Cabernet.
