Connections: weekly textiles at The Still Room. Bring something old to make something new, or come with your own project.
About this Event

A weekly sewing session at The Still Room, guided by an experienced textiles facilitator.

Some things are hard to let go of. A shirt worn soft with time. A handful of buttons saved from something long gone. A scrap of fabric that carries a place, a person, a moment you can't quite name. Connections is a space to work with those things rather than lose them - to cut, stitch, transform and remake them into something you can keep and use.

Each week, bring whatever you have been holding onto and work it into something small and new: a bag, a coaster, a pouch, something to wear, something to give. The craft is simple and you will be warmly welcomed. What you make of it is entirely your own.

We meet in a beautiful, light-filled room at Keswick Hall - the kind of space that slows you down in the best possible way. The company is warm, the conversation gentle, and it turns out Monday mornings can be something to look forward to. Come for the making, stay for the company.

There will be tea, coffee and biscuits - please let us know if you have any allergies.

£12 per session, including VAT. Pay in advance or on the door (bring the correct change if you can please) Held every Monday, except Bank Holidays.

Blue Badge Parking by front door and step free access to first floor with accessible and gender neutral facilities.
