Celebrate the Festival of Archaeology by investigating nature on Dunston Field, including butterflies and moths and wild flowers
About this Event

Join us at Caistor Roman Town for our annual summer social. Head over the river to Dunston Field, where Dave and Pauline from Butterfly Conservation Norfolk will be on hand to talk you through the different species who are present in the field, and Wendy will explain the techniques used to create the wildflower meadow without damaging the archaeology on the scheduled monument. There will also be Roman Town guides on hand to answer your questions, a chance to see some of the local finds and then grab some refreshments.

The event includes walking to and from Dunston Field- please wear suitable footwear
