Flutter over to the garden on Saturday, September 5 from 9 a.m. to noon for a monarch tagging event. Each fall, monarch butterflies set out on an extraordinary journey traveling thousands of miles to overwintering sites in Mexico. By gently capturing, tagging, and releasing these butterflies, researchers are able to track their migration, study survival rates, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they face along the way. Join experts from AAZK Omaha Chapter at the Quinn Oasis and Amphitheater to see this fascinating process up close. Learn more about monarchs, witness the tagging process, and discover how a small sticker can play a big role in conservation research. This experience is included with paid garden admission. FREE for garden members. No pre-registration is required.
