Join Fujifilm Product Expert Hayden Goldsworthy for a hands-on workshop designed to help photographers break out of creative routines and approach familiar subjects in new ways. Hayden will begin with an informative classroom presentation, followed by two hands-on shooting portions that will take place outdoors on NCE property, weather permitting.
This workshop is built around a simple idea: creativity is a skill that can be practiced and developed. Organized around four creative pillars—Layering, Motion, Perspective, and Limitation—the workshop covers techniques like multiple exposure, long exposure, shutter drag, intentional camera movement, and working within creative constraints. Rather than focusing on one genre, the tools apply across portraits, landscapes, street photography, travel, and everyday image-making. Attendees will learn how to make more intentional choices, embrace experimentation, and leave with fresh ideas they can put into practice right away.

REGISTRATION: $50
Online registration for this event closes Thursday, August 13th at 4pm. Late registrations or walk-ins may be accommodated after the deadline if seats are still available. Please see the event registration page for full details.

LOANER GEAR
There will be a selection of Fujifilm GFX and X-mount gear available to try out throughout the event. It’s a great chance to test new gear in a live shooting environment, even if you don’t currently shoot Fujifilm. Participants who borrow gear should also bring a blank SD card in order to take their images home with them.

BE PREPARED
We’ll begin in our classroom on the second floor, accessible by stairs or elevator—please arrive a few minutes early so we can check everyone in and start on time. The hands-on shooting portion will be held outdoors on-site at NCE, in the green space behind the building. We’ll have flowers and a model on hand for some controlled subject matter, along with natural and manmade elements throughout the space to shoot with. Pack a camera with manual controls (you’ll want the ability to manually adjust settings like shutter speed). Bring extra batteries and memory cards, just in case!

PLEASE NOTE
We will not be sending an email for this in-person event, so please be sure to read through the description entirely for full details. If you have any questions about your registration before the event, please email us at [email protected].
