Mobile phone 'Places of Possibilities' photo workshop with Kat Gollock

Join photographer Kat Gollock to learn about smart phone photography and the basics of how to take photos and be creative with your camera. Go out in Galashiels town centre to take photos of the many 'Places of Possibilities' around town from the tiny unexpected places to the expected. Be part of building a town Places Of Possibilites trail and postcard set made by our community – perhaps a bench or an overlooked corner in town that could inspire imagination to become something vibrant and creative!
This is the 3rd in a series of Places of Possibilities sessions and part of Little Art Hub's Culture Collective 'Imagine Galashiels' project.
Culture Collective is a network of participatory arts projects, shaped by local communities alongside artists and creative organisations. Funded by Scottish Government through Creative Scotland, these projects will take place across Scotland from April 2026.
Each unique project is designed and driven by the community in which it is rooted, playing an important part in shaping the future cultural life of Scotland. For the projects themselves, Culture Collective provides a network: opportunities to share resources, learning and experiences. For the sector as a whole, Culture Collective shines a light on the crucial importance of participatory arts projects for artists, for communities and for the future.
