Whether you're looking to fund your first independent production or better understand income streams as a working technician, this workshop is designed to empower your career long-term.

About the Instructor:
David Camargo brings a wealth of leadership and business experience, holding an MBA in Healthcare Administration and certifications in Lean Six Sigma and Grant Writing. He is the co-owner of Dade Plant Co. and has served in director and supervisor roles across healthcare and management sectors. David’s approach is grounded in strategy, clarity, and sustainability—key tools for emerging creatives.

About the Technical Fellowship Program:
Miami Light Project’s Technical Fellowship Program is a workforce development initiative that supports early-career theater technicians through training and paid work experience. Participants receive:

  • Entry to professional demos and tools
  • 40 hours of hands-on training and mentorship backstage at live events
  • Paid internship eligibility for those who complete training
