Explore the rich, tactile world of mixed media—where painting goes beyond the brush and becomes a layered, sensory experience.

Inspired by artists such as Anselm Kiefer and contemporary textured art practices, this workshop invites you to experiment with materials, surfaces, and depth. Mixed media art is about combining techniques, building layers, and creating artwork that feels as expressive as it looks.

Led by professional artist Kate Medvedok, this session offers a relaxed, exploratory environment in a small group (up to 12 participants), with individual guidance throughout.

• Introduction to mixed media and textured art techniques
• Working with layers, materials, and surface variation
• Creating depth using palette knives, tools, and additives
• Balancing composition, texture, and colour
• Step-by-step guidance with plenty of room for experimentation

You’ll create a unique, tactile artwork using acrylics and mixed materials on canvas, focusing on texture, contrast, and personal expression.

All materials are provided, including paints, tools, and textural mediums.

No experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore new techniques.
