Mini - Forest Preparation Day

Help us create Davidson's first mini-forest! Advocate Health has funded the installation of this project that will create an instant native forest community and allow us to study and develop an urban forestation model for the future. We will be preparing the site to get ready for planting 300 native trees on October 10th. We will be measuring and marking planting plots, building deer-protection cages for shrubs, and marking planting locations. Tools will be provided, but if you have extra gloves, multi-tools, or long tape measures we will make good use of them! Close-toed shoes, water bottles, and clothes that can get dirty are required.

If you can't arrive until after 4:00, no worries! We will be happy to have you join the fun as soon as you're able to make it. Restrooms are available as a porta-john in the lower parking lot about a 5 minute drive away.
