Mini-Forest Planting Day
About this Event
Help us create Davidson's first mini-forest! Advocate Health has funded the installation of this project that will create an instant native forest community and allow us to study the effectiveness of this urban reforestation model for the future. We will be planting 300+ native trees, adding understory shrubs, spreading compost and mulch, and creating a forest community that will benefit our community and wildlife for years to come! Tools will be provided, but we recommend bringing your own gloves if you have them and an extra shovel never hurts! Sturdy, close-toed shoes, water bottles, and clothes that can get dirty are required.
Lunch will be provided if you join us past noon! Restrooms are available as a porta-potty in the lower parking lot about a 5 minute drive away.
