About this Event

PLEASE REVIEW ALL INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING FOR A TICKET


SITE PREPERATION ACTIVITIES FOR MILNE DAM CONSERVATION PARK:

  • Unloading planting stock (trees, shrubs), equipment and supplies.
  • Moving and/or carrying planting stock, equipment and other supplies to designated areas
  • Implementing measures to keep planting stock viable until planting

VOLUNTEERS ARE ASKED TO ARRIVE BY 8 A.M. The event will end when all plant stock is moved to the planting areas at Milne Dam Conservation Park.

NOTE THE FOLLOWING KEY INFORMATION

  • This is NOT a Planting Event.
  • This event is not suitable for youger minor children ( under 8yrs)
  • TRAINING FOR NEW PLANTING COACHES will start at 1:00 P.M.
  • LUNCH will be provided, it's scheduled for 12:00 P.M.

PARKING AND CHECK-IN

Parking is available in the "GREEN ACRES " grass parking lot at Milne Dam Conservation Park, 8251 McCowan Road, Markham, ON. Please enter the park through the main entrance off McCowan Rd.

Upon arrival, please CHECK-IN with 10,000 Trees Staff at the Registration Area and have your Eventbrite ticket QR code ready.

10,000 Trees will be sending further detailed instructions to all registered Volunteers 2 or 3 days prior to the event.

HEALTH AND SAFETY GENERAL INFORMATION

  • All participants are advised that appropriate clothing for weather conditions should be worn. We recommend long pants, sturdy footwear, and garden/planting gloves.
  • Participants are asked to bring their own sunscreen, bug repellent and a filled water bottle.
  • To ensure everyone’s safety, participants must maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times when on the planting site.

REGISTRATION FOR TICKETS IN EVENTBRITE


SELECT ONLY ONE TYPE OF TICKET - Each Adult MUST register for their own ticket in their own name. TICKET HOLDERS MUST BE 18+ YEARS OF AGE.
  • EACH ADULT MUST register and MUST have a ticket in their OWN name.
  • MINOR CHILDREN (under 18 years) MUST NOT be registered for a ticket, an adult can add children to their ticket (see below).
  • FAMILIES WITH MINOR CHILDREN - If a family (or adult guardian) is bringing minor children, (under 18 years of age) only ONE ADULT in the family needs to add the minor(s) to their ticket during the registration process. The other ADULT (s) must sign up for an Adult Planter ticket in their own name.

PLANTING COACH TRAINING SESSION

  • Planting Coach Training Tickets are intended for individuals who want to be a Planting Coach (guide other volunteers in planting trees/shrubs stock) and have not been previously trained as a Planting Coach with 10,000 Trees. Please register to attend the training session on Saturday May, 2nd, 2026 at 1:00pm. AND please don't forget to register as a Planting Coach for at least one of the sessions on Sunday May 3, 2026.

UNABLE TO ATTEND

If you can't attend the event for any reason, please CANCEL your ticket in Eventbrite. Information can be found on the confirmation email you received when you registered
