Sew Your Own Coat – Four-Week Course
Join us for a four-week sewing journey and create a beautiful handmade coat from start to finish.
In this small-group class, our experienced tutor will guide you through every step — from cutting your pattern and fabric to applying interfacing, constructing pockets and a collar stand, and finishing seams with professional techniques. By the end, you’ll have a unique, one-of-a-kind coat to be proud of.
This class is perfect for advanced beginners to intermediate sewists. You may need to complete some sewing at home, so access to a sewing machine outside of class is important.
Included: tuition, notions, and the coat pattern.
Please bring: 3 metres of woven or wool fabric at 1.4 metres wide, or 4 metres at 1.1 metres wide. If you’d prefer to practice first, you can bring calico to create a toile before making your final coat.
The class is held from 7 to 9pm over four consecutive weeks.
