Dressmaking 3 Day course

Set 1: Thursdays: Week 1 - 13th Nov, Week 2 - 20th Nov, Week 3 - 27th Nov

Set 2: Mondays: Week 1 - 1st Dec, Week 2 - 8th Dec, Week 3 - 15th Dec

Set 3: Fridays: Week 1 - 16th Jan, Week 2 - 23rd Jan, Week 3 - 30th Jan

Set 4: Wednesdays: Week 1 - 11th March, Week 2 - 18th march Week 3 - 25th March

Set 5: Tuesdays: Week 1 - 12th May, Week 2 - 19th May, Week 3 - 26th May

In this 3 day class you will be able to bring in your own dressmaking projects to make under the guidance of our experienced tutor. You will be shown how to measure yourself correctly and choose the correct size to make; how to trace off your pattern pieces and grade or adjust as necessary; and how to assemble your pattern, including using notches, inserting zippers or buttonholes, and finish your seams.

Simple patterns suitable for beginners or adventurous beginners are best. If you need guidance picking a pattern then our team in store can help guide you.

You will need to provide all your own fabric and notions, again our in store team can assist with understanding fabric and notions charts. You will NOT need to bring a sewing machine or overlocker as these will be provided for your use during the classes.

This class is over 3 days on consecutive weeks, you will need to be able to attend all the dates to make the best use of this course. Missed dates cannot be swapped.

Supplied: Machines, Scissors, Pins, Tape Measures, Tea and Coffee.

Required: Fabric, Sewing Pattern, Haberdashery, Lunch.

Our sewing classes are suitable for anyone over the age of 18.
